in 1994 the watchtower organization published this mans story.

in the simplified english edition of the july 15th, 2011 watchtower, in an article that warns jws about apostate influences, the following quote is given as a reason to stick close to the watchtower organization:.
"the organization has never disappointed us and always gives us an abundance of pure waters of truth from god's word.".

For me a more recent disappointment was Sunday at the 2011 D.C. The WTBTS led the world to believe that the Society had 'New Light' on Daniel 2:31-45 regarding the 'Ten Toes'.
When the WTBTS failed to deliver as they said they would (based on the tract the was distributed) it brought to mind Proverbs 13:12 ......'Expectation postponed makes the heart sick.' And I'm sure many a JW's faith is declining and wobbly because of it.
You can add that disappointment to the list!

I agree with you 'The Quiet One' and 'sf'. This thread is indeed an oldie but a goodie and needs to be BTTT and kept there.
There are constantly new visitors and new members to this forum who would appreciate this type of good reading regarding this dark side of the WTBTS.
i was supposed to go to a judical meeting on sat but i told the elders i wasnt going but they held it anyway.
its going to be announced that im going to be disfellowshipped at the weekend.
hate the fact my parents wont talk to me anymore.
There are some police departments that require its' officers to get shot by a taser gun prior to issuing them one. The goal is to help officers appreciate the pain that these restraint mechanisms inflict upon the recipient of the electric shock put out by the gun.
I've often wondered how disfellowship happy some of these Elders would be if first they were required to go through the process of disfellowshipping themselves.
The humiliation, embarrassment, shunning, the loss of ones' dignity and loss of family can be the worse pain one should ever have to experience. And it is this very pain that these power hungry disciplinarians need to live with themselves firsthand. They need also to know personnally how humiliating the reinstatement process feels like.
I would give them less than one month before they would be begging for someone to lift the punishment, unlike the 9 months, to a year and in many cases much much longer that thousands of poor souls have been forced to endure over the years.

There is/was no ugly side to Jesus Christ.
Disfellowshipping is the WTBTS' ugly, repulsive and unloving side.
I'm sorry that they have treated you in such an appalling way.

Barbara, for a real education I would also advise that they read your life story and firsthand past dealings with the WTBTS.

I would recommend to any interested ones that they subscribe to & keep up with 'Blondie's Comments You Will Not Hear' weekly review of the Watchtower Study.
That will cure anyone who thinks he's leaning toward joining the JW ranks!
